Then we hit the grocery stores:
We hit Quality Food first:  I didn't have coupons for anything at Quality Foods and I spent $58 and some change, mostly meat and things I could get cheaper there than at Ingles.

Then I went to Ingles:

Before coupons:  64.08
After coupons:    40.29

I'm going to be coming up with a couple scenarios for CVS for the upcoming week, for both my card and my husband's card.  Since I only have .50 cents on my card for now, I'll be spending more out of pocket.

Have a great SNOWY day.

If it does snow, and it knocks out power, there'll be alot of sandwiches and soup.

Have a good day all.

CVS Tripping today.

Brr. It's cold outside at 13 degrees here in the Northeast Georgia Mountains.  I braved the cold this morning to go get papers and make my trip to CVS.  And, I forgot my card, which is funny because that card NEVER gets taken out of my wallet except to scan at the register.  Well, I gave the cashier my telephone number and we started ringing up my transactions.  All this ended up going on my hubby's Extra Care card, but it's ok.

I split my transactions up into (turned out to be 6).

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Well, Folks, it's finally 2010.  I won't be doing any shopping today other than picking up Kerosene and a lamp for my dad.

I've gotta finish using up the store-bought bread that I got the other day, before I start making bread.

It's going to be a great year.

Happy New Year, everyone.

Hugs!

Getting REstarted.

I stayed awake all night last night, deciding on what my New Year's Resolutions would be for 2010.  I finally decided this morning about daylight that they would include, getting my stockpile back to a comfortable level, couponing religiously, and saving money any which way I could.  I want to save at LEAST $5000 this year.

I coupon at CVS, Rite Aid, my local grocery store, and anywhere else that accepts coupons, but those are the main ones.

I made out my list to CVS, which I should have already gone to CVS this week had I been vigilant with my couponing, but I wasn't being a vigilant couponer until today.

Today, my mom and I went to our local CVS and purchased a few things, mostly to give me ECBs so I could stock up on things we needed, and some of the things that my mom wanted to get for herself.  I gave her the ECBs that I had been saving on my husband's ExtraCare card to buy herself some Topsy Turvy planters.  Hey,  that'll save money this summer with fresh produce.

My TOTAL OOP for both cards was $1.75.  My mom's OOP for her Topsy Turvy planters was 7.96.

My receipts say I saved $33.87 and $22.89 = $56.76

I'm going to be making meal plans, that I'll post here.  My food budget for three people is $218 per month.  My household item budget is $75 a month, but I'm sure that will drop as soon as I start building up my stockpile again.  I will post  my CVS lists, as well as deals I get from other stores.  I'll also post my Thrift Store finds.

I'll be baking my own bread to save money, also.  When I get my stockpile back up to comfortable levels and organized ONCE more, I'll post pictures.

I hope everyone has a wonderful new year!
